    Cara McNamee, DVM, cVMA, CCRT

    Managing Veterinarian

Dr. McNamee grew up in the Atlanta area riding horses, and wanted to become a veterinarian from an early age. She attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree, receiving a BS in Biology in 2004. She graduated veterinary school at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, and completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery in New Hampshire in 2011 before returning to Atlanta to work in small animal practice.

Wanting to offer more in terms of pain management for her patients, she became certified in acupuncture in 2015, followed by rehabilitation in 2018. In 2020 she started a mobile pain management practice, and is excited to expand and grow rehab within the Atlanta area with RVM.

Outside of work, Dr. McNamee enjoys cycling, horseback riding, and playing the banjo. She shares a home in East Atlanta Village with her husband Mike, daughter Clementine, cats Gnocchi and Salem, and Noodle the whippet.

  • Shari, the veterinary rehabilitation assistant takes a selfie with her grey and white cat

    Shari Wenger, LVT, CTMT, CCRP

    Rehabilitation Therapist

After 15 years in the corporate world, Shari made the decision to follow her dreams and pursue a career working with animals. She earned her CTMT Canine Therapeutic Massage Therapist through Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in 2014. She also started working in a small animal veterinary hospital. She saw the benefits of rehab with her senior pitbull Sweet Pea and patients at the hospital and was inspired to learn more. The first step was earning her degree through Cedar Valley College and becoming a licensed veterinary technician, which she completed in 2021. She then completed the Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner (CCRP) course at University of Tennessee. She has also earned a Fear Free certification, enhancing her gentle handling skills.

With 9 years experience in general practice, Shari is excited to be working in rehab where her love of our senior and differently abled companions truly shines. Her family includes her partner Dusty, their senior pug/staffy mix Noodle, middle aged pitbull/lab mix Roci and kitty Pickle, who rules the house.

  • hailey, the rehabilitation therapist, sits with her Australian shepherd and they are both smiling and looking at the camera.

    Hailey, CCRA

    Rehabilitation Therapist

Hailey’s compassion and interest in the care and wellness of animals began early. She became inspired while working as an animal care technician in high school, and pursued a career in veterinary medicine. She has since been involved in large and small animal care for 10 years. An avid equestrian, she has competed in local, state, and intercollegiate hunter/jumper competitions on her horse, Beau. With the addition of Rango, her Australian Shepherd, to her family, she began learning and developing her pup’s skills in various dog sports, including fast CAT and agility. These personal interests and pursuits created a passion that focused her knowledge on mobility, performance, endurance, and rehabilitation in both the canine and equine fields.

She graduated in 2019 from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA and earned her undergraduate degree in biology. After graduation, she moved to South Carolina and worked for 4 years in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation. Hailey’s quiet and easygoing demeanor allows for clients and patients to feel comfortable and confident during their visit at RVM. Her hands on experience in therapy services and passion for animal rehab and fitness provides the knowledge and skill to assist in all aspects of a patients mobility.

Hailey returned to the Atlanta area with her husband, Jonathan, and spoiled pup Rango. Hailey continues to ride as often as she can and they all enjoy their time attending dog sporting events, hiking, and watching the Atlanta Braves.

  • Kaycie, the veterinary rehab assistant at RVM, kneels with her dog, a pitbull puppy mix and smiles at the camera

    Kaycie, CCRA

    Rehabilitation Therapist

Kaycie’s passion for veterinary medicine began early—during high school, she interned at a large clinic outside of Atlanta, where she first discovered her love for animal care. After moving to Valdosta, GA for college, she gained valuable experience working in shelter medicine, where she developed strong skills in behavior analysis and animal handling.

At home, Kaycie shares life with her husband, Will, their two dogs, Izzy and Lily, and their cat, Nola. Her dogs are active competitors in sports such as FastCAT, CAT, and dock diving, with plans to explore even more activities together. These experiences fuel Kaycie’s dedication to helping animals thrive—whether that means excelling in their favorite sport or simply enjoying a cozy spot on the couch. She is currently working on attaining her CCRA certification at the Canine Rehab Institute.

  • Brianne and her orange tabby cat Chance

    Brianne

    Rehabilitation Assistant

Brianne is from rural upstate New York where she first fell in love with farm animals and cats. As a lifelong animal lover, she began her career working with animals as a groomer and handler at a daycare facility in New Orleans. From there she became involved in rescue and has been a regular cat foster for over two years. Her time in Louisiana allowed her to build on her experience in caring for animals during all stages of life.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Loyola University of New Orleans in May, Brianne moved to Atlanta with her partner, Ike, and their cat, Chance. Since living in Atlanta, Bri has adopted one more cat, the mom from a litter of foster kittens, whom she named Charlotte. She joined our team as a rehab assistant, and while doing so, she still fosters kittens and is working towards her next degree, an associate’s in veterinary technology.

  • Jamie

    Veterinary Rehabilitation Assistant

Jamie developed a love of animals very early in life, starting with the numerous dogs and cats she had growing up. After a trip to a Florida aquarium when she was 10 years old, she developed a passion for marine life as well. After graduating high school, she went to the University of New England where she volunteered at their on-site marine animal rehabilitation center and would go on to receive a bachelor’s degree in marine biology. From there, she worked at the Boston Aquarium, Georgia Aquarium, OdySea Aquarium, Gulf World Marine Park, and the Maryland Zoo. While penguins are her favorite marine animal to work with, she’s been fortunate to work with belugas, seals, sea lions, sea otters, small-clawed Asian otters, a variety of reptiles, African hoof stock and tropical birds. While living in Georgia, she also worked as an ER vet assistant at Briarcliff Animal Clinic which got her interested in the veterinary side of animal care.

After traveling around the US for various jobs for over 10 years, she found herself wanting to put down roots and decided to move back to Atlanta to settle there. She bought a house and became a pet sitter which gave her freedom to travel and see her family more for a few years. Eventually she wanted to get back into full-time work and saw a listing for Resurgence Veterinary Mobility. She was unaware that rehabilitation centers existed for cats and dogs and was immediately intrigued by the idea. After accepting the job offer, Jamie is looking forward to learning as much as she can about the rehabilitation process and would like to become a licensed rehabilitation therapist at some point.
