Therapeutic Exercise

two rehab therapists work with an aussie as a part of his veterinary physical therapy and sport conditioning program, one therapist guides the dog through exercises while the other observes form and function

Therapeutic exercise sessions are prescribed by our rehab certified veterinarians and tailored to your pet’s specific diagnosis and needs after a thorough examination. Exercises can improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. In-person sessions are supplemented with home exercise programs for you to continue the benefits of therapeutic exercise at home.

Some types of therapeutic exercises include:

  • Body awareness exercises: Enhances balance and coordination to prevent injuries.

  • Muscle strengthening exercises: Builds muscle strength and endurance for better recovery and physical performance after surgery, injury or as your dog or cat ages.

  • Stability and balance exercises: Improves core strength and stability, reducing the risk of falls and enhancing overall mobility.

  • Veterinary sports medicine exercises: Enhances coordination, speed, and agility for improved athletic performance, rehabilitation, or return to sporting activities.
