  • Client Services Representative/Rehabilitation Assistant

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Client Services Representative/Rehabilitation Assistant Float. This hybrid position combines the responsibilities of a Client Services Representative and Rehabilitation Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our Rehabilitation Veterinarian and Therapists. As the Float, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets, both in-person and over the phone. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with families to ensure the best care for their beloved pets.

    In addition to client services, this position offers valuable on-the-job training in canine and feline musculoskeletal anatomy and physical rehabilitation therapy terminology. This role serves as an excellent foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the growing field of veterinary rehabilitation.

    Responsibilities:

    Client Relationship Management: Greet clients, answer inquiries, manage appointments, maintain patient records, handle prescriptions, address client concerns, and communicate with clients through various channels including phone, text, and email.

    Clinical Support: Assist with medical records, patient history, measurements, medication filling, restraint, treatment modalities, and scribing for the DVM.

    Finance and Accounting: Utilize the Practice Management Software for invoicing, payment collection, reconciliation, and assistance with accounts receivable.

    Facility Operations: Maintain cleanliness, assist with equipment and IT maintenance, and manage inventory.

    Other: Foster a cooperative working environment, follow directions, maintain positive relationships, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Experience: Minimum 2 years in a veterinary setting with patient care, client communication, and digital record-keeping skills. Canine rehabilitation therapy experience or interest is preferred.

    Personal Traits: Genuine affinity for animals, friendly and patient demeanor, ability to work independently with sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and flexibility in work habits.

    Physical Effort: Ability to lift 50 pounds safely, perform bending and floor work, and tolerate exposure to odors, noise, and animal-related hazards.

    Working Conditions: Comfortable working in an animal care environment, including exposure to unpleasant elements and varying levels of noise and activity.
